New product developments coming to eve Wholesale in 2025 (5)

At eve Wholesale, great products and great service start with great people. Behind every order, every support ticket, and every successful rollout is a team working hard to keep things running smoothly for our partners.

That’s why we’re launching a new ‘Employee Spotlight’ series, where we introduce you to the people behind the scenes who make eve Wholesale what it is.

First up is Paul O’Neill, our Head of Support, who has been with the company for just over 19 months and brings more than 25 years of industry experience to the role. From overseeing the Service and Delivery Desk to making sure processes are followed and customers are looked after, Paul plays a key part in keeping everything on track.

In this Q&A, Paul shares a bit about his journey, what a great day at work looks like for him, and a few things you might not expect — including a surprisingly impressive Lego collection.

What’s your name, role, and how long have you been with the company?

I’m Paul O’Neill, Head of Support, and I’ve been here for just over 19 months now.

What did you want to be when you were a kid?

A footballer — no hesitation!

What’s something people are often surprised to learn about you?

My Lego collection. I’ve got a lot of it, including some pretty cool rare sets. I’m weirdly proud of it, and the wish list is still growing.

Coffee or tea? Early bird or night owl?

Both coffee and tea — it depends on the mood. Definitely an early bird though.

What does your role actually involve day to day?

I oversee and support the Service and Delivery Desk, making sure everything runs smoothly and the team has what they need.

What does a “great day at work” look like for you?

Orders going in without a hitch, support calls getting closed off, and a happy team at the end of it.

How did you end up in this field?

I’ve been in this industry for over 25 years now — you could say I’ve been doing this forever!

What attracted you to this company originally?

The people, the products, and the history behind it all.

What’s a project or achievement you’re particularly proud of here?

The recent rollout of a 12-circuit MPLS project stands out. It was a real team effort across the business, and great to see it all come together.

What part of your work has the biggest impact on customers or teammates?

Honestly, just sticking to the process. It sounds simple, but it makes a big difference.

What’s something you appreciate about the team you work with?

Their knowledge, experience, and the way they really take ownership — seeing tasks through from start to finish.

What’s something new you’ve learned since joining?

I came from more of a retail background, so moving into wholesale was a bit of a shift in mindset. But at the end of the day, the goal is the same — deliver great customer service.

What skill have you developed the most in this role?

Gaining a better understanding of how our internal teams create, develop, and support our products. There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes.

What helps you stay motivated at work?

My family and my team — simple as that.
