introducing mandatory Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for admin users

As part of our commitment to continuously enhancing the eve platform for our resellers and their users, we’re introducing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for all admin accounts.

This new security measure brings a higher level of protection for your account and the platform as a whole.

how it works

Log in to the eve portal: enter your username and password as usual.
Set up MFA: you’ll be prompted to scan a QR code using your authenticator app (e.g., Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator).
Enter the code: enter the verification code generated by the authenticator app to complete the setup.

convenient device recognition

By selecting “trust this computer,” your device will be remembered for 30 days, reducing the need to re-authenticate during that time. You’ll still need to enter your username and password for every login.

important deadlines

For existing admin users: you must enable MFA within 2 weeks of the launch date.
For new admin accounts: MFA must be set up within 2 weeks of account creation.

If MFA is not configured within the designated time, your account access will expire, and you’ll need to raise a service ticket to reactivate your account.

what is MFA

MFA adds an extra layer of protection by requiring more than just a password to access an account. Even if passwords are compromised (due to phishing, weak passwords, or data breaches), the additional factor, like a code from an authenticator app, prevents unauthorised access to your account
